One Small Step For Man…

So I’m actually going to try and blog now. It seems like a good idea, or maybe just another of my crazy ideas. Don’t expect anything awesome or insightful. Between naptimes and work shifts, writing and sleeping, (I try to forget about the eating and breathing–they aren’t as vital) it will be a rare occasion that I get on. Unless of course, blogging becomes the new Twitter for me, which replaced good ol’ facebook. By necessity, those are still open and operating, while my book sits waiting down below. (Isn’t it nice how word documents can hide themselves so you don’t feel quite as guilty NOT getting to them?) I can’t possibly imagine how sharing my thoughts and hopes and failures could be addicting… Can you? 🙂 For the moment, I will settle with this short intro entry. The baby is fighting sleep and my book is calling. Or, Twitter is…or Michael Broadway’s blog. I’m not sure which I’ll visit first. It should be the book, but God knows how I get distracted…

About S. G. Ricketts

I am a dreamer. This page holds all of the dreams and desires and hopes and wishes of the first of my two dreams: to share my imagination with the world. For those of you who have read a book or written a book, these stories are not merely words on a page. They are living, breathing creatures, worlds so compellingly real that you can smell the sweat and feel the rain. This is what I want to share ...with all of you. Yes, becoming rich and famous would be fabulous. I won't deny that. However, it would be so much more satisfying to see my book in the hands of someone on the bus, hear my book talked about at a restaurant, see a cluster of fan-art. I want to inspire the mind to imagine different worlds and different situations. If I can achieve that, I will have achieved my dream.
